The Megger MIT1525 is the flagship of Megger’s MIT series of insulation resistance testers. This device can perform insulation resistance tests up to 15 kV with a maximum resistance of 30 Teraohms and accuracy from 1 MΩ to 3 TΩ. The MIT1525 includes a full range of test modes including IR, Timed IR, DAR, PI, DD, SV and lamp diagnostic tests.

With this instrument, Megger has focused on improving productivity. The MIT1525 includes a rapid-charge battery which charges fully from empty in 2.5 hours, providing 4.5 hours of continuous testing.

These batteries last for up to an hour with just 30 minutes of charging, allowing users to complete tests with minimal wait time, even if the device is empty. For even more versatility, Megger has designed the MIT1525 to also bypass the battery completely and run on AC or mains power.
